Rozšíření, škodlivost a patogenní variabilita původců padlí tykvovitých (Golovinomyces cichoracearum /Gc/, Podosphaera xanthii /Px/) byla sledována na tykvovitých zeleninách na území České republiky (ČR) v průběhu let 2001-2002. Nejvyšší frekvence výskytu padlí byla pozorována na Cucurbita pepo (90% lokalit) a Cucurbita maxima (84%), naopak velmi ojediněle na Cucumis sativus (4%). Střední stupeň napadení (25-50%) převažoval na Cucurbita spp. Samostatný výskyt Gc byl zaznamenán na 90% lokalit, Px jako jedinný původce pouze na 2% a směsná infekce obou patogenů na 8% lokalit. Patogenní variabilita (patotypy, rasy) byla determinována u 89 izolátů (74 Gc, 15 Px) pocházejících z let 2000-2002. Celkem bylo detegováno12 odlišných patotypů (8 Gc, 4 Px) a 49 ras (38 Gc, 11 Px).Izoláty virulentní ke C. melo odrůdě MR-1 a avirulentní ke C. melo IranH byly nalezeny u obou původců padlí tykvovitých. Výskyt některých vysoce patogenních kmenů Gc byl zaznamenán v letech 2001-2002 a rovněž výrazný posun směrem k vy Distribution, disease impact and pathogenic variability of cucurbit powdery mildew was monitored on cucurbitaceous crops in the Czech Republic (CR) during the years 2001 and 2002. Occurrence of powdery mildews, Golovinomyces cichoracearum s.l. (Gc) and Podosphaera xanthii (Px), was monitored at 84 locations in 2001 and 109 locations in 2002. The highest frequency of powdery mildew infection was observed on Cucurbita pepo (90% of locations) and Cucurbita maxima (84%), but a low frequency was observed on Cucumis sativus (4 %), and no infection was observed on Citrullus lanatus. A medium level of disease intensity (25#50%) occurred on Cucurbita spp. The pathogens were identified on 237 samples of leaves with symptoms of powdery mildew originating from 9 regions and 30 districts of the CR. Gc occurred alone at 90% of the locations, Px occurred alone at only 2% and a mixture of both pathogens was found at 8% of locations.
