The monitoring of oscillatory behaviour and spatially resolved radiative properties of a nonpremixed flame can provide valuable data for validation of combustion kinetic models. In our study, a laboratory-scale combustion setup for validating chemical kinetic models implemented into simulation tools for computational fluid dynamics was designed and tested. We were keen on investigation of a co-flow axisymmetric cup-burner flame influenced by selected gaseous thermal agents.
