Alloy phase diagram databases provide lots of data of ternary alloy phase systems in form of isothermal and polythermal sections. Only a few of them give complete isothermal and polythermal surface projections, which allow to calculate the equilibrium distribution coefficient in the solidification process. The equilibrium distribution coefficient determines redistribution ratio of impurities between liquidus and solidus phases. The software used for modelling ternary alloy systems allows us to use polythermal sections to model complete isothermal projections of liquidus and solidus surfaces, or just to optimize depicting of already known projections.
