There were done experiments with steel filtration by various ceramic filters in the frame of grant project GACR No. 106/06/0393. Experiments proved that oxide inclusions originating in filter during solidification are less thermodynamically stable than non-metal inclusions in steel before its filtration. It may be assumed that these inclusions originate in steel by reoxidation. Course of reoxidation phenomena is supported by fall of metal temperature (accompanying fall of oxygen solubility), by oxygen transfer from atmosphere to the stream of filtered steel and by successive oxidation of Ca, Al, Si, Mn and Fe. It was found existence of direct proportion for intensity of steel reoxidation during filtration and this leads to the strong fall of filtration effectivity. V rámci grantového projektu GAČR č. 106/06/0393 byly provedeny pokusy s filtrací oceli různými keramickými filtry. Pokusy prokázaly, že oxidické vměstky vznikající ve filtru během tuhnutí jsou termodynamicky méně stabilní než nekovové vměstky v oceli před její filtrací. Je možno předpokládat, že tyto vměstky vznikají v oceli reoxidací. Průběh reoxidačních jevů je podporován snížením teploty kovu (dochází ke snížení rozpustnosti kyslíku), přestupem kyslíku z atmosféry do proudu filtrované oceli a postupnou oxidací Ca, Al, Si, Mn a Fe. Byla zjištěna existence přímé úměry pro intenzitu reoxidace oceli během filtrace vedoucí k silnému poklesu účinnosti filtrace.
