Logaritmické deformace dosahovaly hodnoty 9. Koeficient spojení jednotlivých vrstev se pohyboval kolem 90%. Vývoj struktury se ověřoval na nízkouhlíkové oceli. Jsou popsány základní vztahy mezi velikostí deformace, zjemněním zrna a navazujícími mechanickými vlastnostmi.. Ukazuje se,že technologie ARB je vhodným nástrojem pro získání jemnozrmné struktury.a lze ji aplikovat i při klasickém válcování. Dosahovaná velikost zrna se pohybovala kolem 0,3μm. Vlastnosti získané tahovou zkouškou však nedosahovaly předpokládané velikosti. Velikost zrna byla homogenní v celém objemu. The paper analyses methods of grain refinement and demonstrates development of structure and properties of metallic materials after severe plastic deformations(SPD).Technology ARB was experimentally verified. The material was rolled in 11 passes. Rolling procceeded at temperature 650ºC with heating in furnace with inert atmosphere (Ar). True strain has achieved the value 9. Basic relations between magnitude of deformation, grain refinemet and resulting mechanical properties were described. Bonding of degrese was greater than 90%. ARB Metod is one of instrument for acquirement materials with utrafine grain structure. It is very simply apparatus which can be used in practical technology(classical rolling mill). Developmnet of structure was verified on low carbon steel. Obtained grain size was around 0,3μm. Properties obtained by tensile test did not achieve the expected value. Grain size was homogenous in whole volume.
