Vliv tvorby acikulárního feritu v nízkouhlíkové oceli na zlepšení jeho mechanických vlastností The properties of two variants of acicular ferrite microstructure are compared. One variant corresponds to the formation of fine grained interlocked plate microstructure. The second type, also intragranularly nucleated at non-metallic inclusions, especially its final stage, is realised during the formation of plate packets on the primary nucleated plates of acicular ferrite. The effect of primary austenite grain size, the density and type of active nucleants are evaluated. Simultaneously, the crystallographic misorientation of adjacent ferrite plates is determined. The relationship between high-and low-angle boundaries and the distribution of ferrite grain boundaries misorientation are included into performed physical metallurgy analysis. The influence of the mean linear intercept between high-angle boundaries on the ductile-brittle transition temperature (ITT) in compared variants of acicular ferrite microstructure is analysed.
