Controlled system is a part of control loop and it is necessary to consider it like a part with specific property. During selection of the cor-rect PID controller is important to know dynamic properties of controlled system. For description of this properties were developed various methods of energy balances and subsequent mathematical models for acquisition of corrects transfer functions. In praxis is better to use methods when we observe the behaviour of system by concrete conditions (for example response to a unit step at the input, or the frequency signal). According to behaving we know mathematically describe the system and subsequently choose the correct type of PID with his parameters. This article is focused on the identification of the lightening system for greenhouse plants cultivation and for design of correct PID controller for controlling the greenhouse illumination which is orientated on the energy savings.
