This contribution deals with analyzing and evaluating %22objects of interest%22 present in ultrasound images as well as assessing the progress or regressions illustrated in these objects. These objects are highly significant from a medicinal perspective and include atherosclerostic plaque in carotid arteries, the intima-media thickness in the distal part of the common carotid artery, cerebral cortex size and brain stem findings in cases of Parkinson disease. Here, we describe procedures employing common principles and methods for recognizing %22points of interest%22 in images that may serve in finding and determining coordinate values of xi,yi. pixels, parameters and properties of analyzed objects. The article briefly describes each test and the mathematical tools used in the detection of points and objects in ultrasound images in medicine.
