This contribution presents the general results of a grant project, based on the collaboration of three groups of specialists ? first group focused to the control systems design, second group focused to the computer science, especially to the picture recognition systems and third group of medical specialists from the Neurological clinic FN Ostrava. The general result of this project, presented in the contribution, is the developed system for exact measurement of the Atherosclerotic Plaque (AC plaque) in carotid artery is fully working, including the control system and synchronization with the heart activity. Presented pictures show, how are the ultrasound pictures analyzed and how are obtained data of Atherosclerotic Plaque with appropriate accuracy with recurring measurements. Presented results open way to medical exploitation, as expected on the beginning.
