The development of real-time control systems requires effective hardware and software systems and design tools. This paper presents the design and implementation of a microprocessor-based embedded control system for a lime slurry delivery machine, intended for lime production plants. The main goal in this approach was to ensure high performance, as provided by a special-purpose design, with minimum electronic hardware cost. VHDL models simulations were executed to verify the controller?s design. Validation of the designed system was accomplished through real-time implementation tests. The simulation results were satisfactory close to those derived by further on experimental investigation. The proposed control system was experimentally verified and evaluated upon a specific prototype of a lime slurry storage and delivery machine. The control system is based upon the Intel 80C188EB microprocessor. V tomto článku je uvedena metoda vývoje vestavěné aplikace s mikroprocesorem pro distribuovaný řídicí systém. Řídicí systém je realizován pro činnost mechatronického zásobníku hašeného vápna a dávkovacího stroje, určené pro výrobní zařízení na vápno. Při vývoji byly použity simulace jejichž výsledkem bylo ověření a potvrzení funkčnosti analytického modelu regulátoru. Výsledky simulace byly dostatečně pro potvrzení a odvození dalšího experimentálního výzkumu. Navržená regulace průtoku byla experimentálně ověřena a vyhodnocena na specifickém prototypu zásobníku hašeného vápna a dávkovacího stroje. Řídicí systém je navržen s mikroprocesorem Intel 80C188EB.
