The paper is concerned with application of a new variant of the FETI domain decomposition method called the Total FETI to the solution to contact problems by the finite element method. Its basic idea is that both the compatibility between adjacent sub-domains and Dirichlet boundary conditions are enforced by the Lagrange multipliers with physical meaning of forces, while the displacements are eliminated. We introduce the Total FETI technique for solution to the equations and inequalities governing the equilibrium of system of bodies in contact. Moreover we show implementation of the method into a code which treats the material and geometric non-linear effects. Numerical experiments were carried out with our in-house general purpose package PMD. Článek se zabývá použitím nové varianty FETI metody rozložení oblasti tzv. Total FETI metody, na řešení kontaktních úloh metodou konečných prvků. Její základní myšlenkou je zajištění kompatibility mezi podoblastmi i splnění Dirichletových podmínek prostřednictvím Lagrangeových multiplikátorů. Představíme Total FETI metodu pro řešení rovnic a nerovnic popisující rovnováhu sil systému těles v kontaktu. Navíc ukážeme implementaci této metody do kódu, který řeší materiálové a geometrické nelinearity. Numerické experimenty byly řešeny pomocí systému PMD.
