Traditional design methods of electrical machines magnetic circuits are based on an analogy between magnetic and electric circuits. In this way there is a possibility to obtain an approximative distribution of the magnetic field in the designed machine, but it omits partly or completely a series of basic phenomena such as a slot opening, a local oversaturation of magnetic circuit, an irregularity of air gap etc. But these imperfections can be eliminated by using of numerical methods for solution of two-or three-dimensional magnetic fields.
