The work deals with the finite element analysis of the stress concentration factor of the FLEX Connection Drill Pipe FLX389. The provided geometry was preload by the defined make up torque and operational bending load and stress distribution field in the connection was calculated. On the base of calculated stress distribution in the connection, the absolute worst-case stress condition was analyzed and the stress concentration factor determined.
