Residual stresses are one of the important properties of materials that can greatly limit their utility properties. Each manufacturing technology leaves its mark of different levels and distribution of residual stresses on the material. This paper presents residual stresses measurement in steels during and after deformation structure strengthening mechanism. A method based on the Barkhausen noise, which allows monitor development and redistribution of residual stresses during multi-cycle technological operations, is described in detail. The paper describes the methodology of certified non-destructive residual stresses measurement technique in carbon steel after extrusion of DRECE (Dual Rolling Equal Channel Extrusion).
