Thanks to the support of the project FRVŠ Ab 1965/2009 the new integrated working place was equipped at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VŠB-TU Ostrava. The working place enables to the students mastering of the methods and principles during the mechanical parts realization from the design itself, over the technical calculations and validation of the designed mechanical parts to the real physical realization by SRP methods (Substractive Rapid Prototyping). There is presented the influence of hardware innovation on solution time reduction for choice benchmarks solved by FEM in this paper.
