Thomson Scattering (TS) is a powerful technique capable to measure electron temperature and electron density. For TS on the COMPASS tokamak, several possible systems were considered and relevant parameters were calculated for both edge and core plasma studies. To attain the expected values of electron density and temperature, two possibilities were chosen to be the most suitable: (i) Nd-YAG laser at the second harmonic frequency with Littrow spectrometers with ICCD cameras (for both core and edge systems), and (ii) Nd-YAG laser at the first harmonic frequency with Littrow spectrometer with CMOS camera (for the core) and spectral filters with APDs (for the edge). Thomsonův rozptyl je diagnostická technika umožňující měřit elektronovou teplotu a hustotu. Pro systém Thomsonova rozptylu na tokamaku COMPASS bylo zváženo několik možných variant, pro které byly spočteny relevantní parametry jak pro středové, tak pro okrajové plazma. Aby bylo možno realizovat měření očekávaných hodnot elektronové hustoty a teploty, byly vybrány dvě nejvhodnější varianty: (i) Nd-YAG laser na druhé harmonické frekvenci v kombinaci s Littrowovým spectrometrem a ICCD kamerou (pro středový i krajový systém) a (ii) Nd-YAG laser na první harmonické frekvenci v kombinaci s Littrowovým spectrometrem s CMOS kamerou (pro středový systém) a spektrálními filtry s lavinovými diodami (pro krajový systém).
