Polyanilín a polypyrrol byly připraveny oxidativní polymerizací za přítomnosti anionických, kationických a neionických povrchově aktivních látek. Anionický surfaktant je zabudován do polymeru. Surfaktanty zvyšují vodivost polypyrrolu, vodivost polyanilínu zůstává nezměněna. Polyaniline and polypyrrole were prepared by the oxidative polymerization in the presence of aninonic, cationic, and non-ionic surfactants. The anionic surfactants become incorporated into the polymer. The conductivity of polypyrrole is improved by the presence of surfactants; that of polyaniline is unaffected.
