In this study, the flow structures generated in vicinity of plasma actuator are studied experimentally using time-resolved Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique. Plasma actuator based on dielectric barrier discharge is introduced and briefly described. Our experiment was performed inside a plexi-glass chamber to ensure steady environment without a presence of free flow. Some special aspects of velocity measurement around plasma are presented as well as the choice of PIV as a nonintrusive measurement technique.
