Publikace obsahuje výsledky experimentálního výzkumu chemické produkce atomárního jodu pro chemický kyslík-jodový laser (COIL). Atomární jod generovaný v oddělených reaktorech byl injektován supersonicky do proudu singletového kyslíku. Hodnoty měřeného zesílení na laserovém přechodu a výkon laseru byly porovnávány s hodnotami získanými při subsonickém míchání chemických reaktant pro produkci atomárního jodu. An advanced Chemical Oxygen-Iodine Laser (COIL) was studied using the chemical generation of atomic iodine. Atomic iodine is produced by the reaction of atomic chlorine or fluorine with hydrogen iodide (HI) in two separated reactors tightly attached to the supersonic laser cavity and injected into the flow of singlet oxygen through the supersonic orifices downstream the laser nozzle throat. Small signal gain and laser power were measured and compared with subsonic mixing. An advanced Chemical Oxygen-Iodine Laser (COIL) was studied using the chemical generation of atomic iodine.
