The solvolysis of poly(ethylene terephthalate) from disposed beverage bottles by and aqueous solution of lactic acid followed by the zink acetate catalyzed polycondensation of solvolytic product, yielded a series of aromatic-aliphatic colpolyesters containing incorporated lactic acid units. The new polymers were subjected to abiotic hydrolysis and biological degradation by the actionomycete Rhodococcus erythropolis and by composting. Rozložitelnost takto připravených polymerů bylo testována jednak abiotickou hydrolýzou, jednak biologickými testy s použitím aktinomycetu Rhodococcus erythropolis a metody kompostování. Byly zjištěny jednak změny v molekulové struktuře vzorků, jednak změny v celkové struktuře folií polymerů dokumentované pomocí rastrovacího mikroskopu
