Axiálně chirální bipyridin-N,N´-dioxidy lze snadno získat ve třech krocích z komerčně dostupných chemikálií. Klíčovým krokem je heterocyklotrimerizace 1-pyridyl-1,7-octadiynů s nitrily katalyzovaná kobaltem. Připravili jsme nesymetricky substituované bipyridiny. Připravené bipyridin-N,N´-dioxidy byly separovány na enatiomery a testovány pro enantioselektivní allylaci aldehydů. Axially chiral bipyridine N,N´-dioxides are easily accessible in three steps from commercially available material. The key step is cobalt-catalyzed heterocyclotrimerization of 1-pyridyl-1,7-octadiynes with nitriles. We synthesised of unsymmetrically substituted bipyridines. The synthesized bipyridine N,N´-dioxides were resolved into enantiomers and tested in enantioselective allylation of aldehydes.
