This contribution focuses on the hydrogenation and hydrodeoxygenation of aldehydes (benzaldehyde, 2-phenylpropionaldehyde, 3-phenylpropionaldehyde, cinnamaldehyde, 4-isopropylbenzaldehyde, heptanal) on supported palladium catalysts, namely zeolites and active carbon. The effects of the substrate structure, solvent, type of support and its acidity, reaction temperature and pressure on activity and selectivity of Pd catalysts were investigated in detail. Catalytic hydrodeoxygenation of aldehydes was carried out in a liquid phase in an autoclave in the temperature range from 30 to 130 oC and at pressure ranging from 1 to 6 MPa. Hydrogenation reactions performed in non-polar hexane proceeded with a significantly higher rate than in a polar methanol. The presence of isopropyl substituent in 4-isopropylbenzaldehyde increased both the reaction rate as well as the selectivity to hydrodeoxygenation. Práce je zaměřena na studium hydrogenace a hydrodeoxygenace vybraných strukturních typů aldehydů (benzaldehyd, 2-fenylpropionaldehyd, 3-fenylpropionaldehyd, cinnamaldehyd, 4-isopropylbenzaldehyd, heptanal) na palladiových nosičových katalyzátorech. Jako nosiče byly použity zeolity a aktivní uhlí. Sledovány byly následující parametry: vliv struktury substrátu, vliv rozpouštědla, vliv nosiče a jeho kyselosti, teplota a tlak. Katalytické hydrodeoxygenace aldehydů byly prováděny v kapalné fázi v autoklávu v rozmezí teplot 30-130 oC a rozmezí tlaků 1-6 MPa. Bylo zjištěno, že určující vliv na hydrodeoxygenační reakce aromatických aldehydů má vzdálenost aromatického jádra of karbonylové skupiny. Benzaldehyd a 4-isopropylbenzaldehyd snadno reagovaly na uhlovodíky. Bylo potvrzeno zastoupení mechanismu hydrogenačně-hydrogenolytického i přímé hydrogenolýry vazby C=O v přeměně benzaldehydu.
