Cu-beta zeolites exhibit high and stable activity in NO decomposition. Tree Cu species are present in Cu-beta. Cu ions balanced by single Al atoms represent activ species while the activity of Cu ions balanced by two Al atoms or Cu oxidic species is negligible. Active Cu species are formed at medium Cu loadings (Cu/Al 0.25-1) and predominate at low Al content (Si/Al>20). Cu-beta zeolites exhibit high and stable activity in NO decomposition.
