The methodology of porous polyolefin particles digital reconstruction from X-ray micro-tomography imaging is presented and thoroughly tested. The influence of several scanning/reconstruction user-dependent parameters on the resulting morphology of particles is investigated. Spatially three-dimensional reconstructed particles serve as an input to mathematical models of transport in particles, e.g. dynamic simulation of particle degassing.
