The fuzzy approaches to process modeling and process control are based on the evaluation of vague definitions of sets and rules. Therefore they are applicable for problems where data uncertainty, unclarity or insufficiency can occur. The rule-based nature of fuzzy approach allows the use of information expressed in the form of natural language statements, and it makes the process description transparent to interpretation and analysis. In the contribution a quite simple fuzzy controller with two inputs (control deviation and rate of its changing) is described. The controller is used for stabilization of temperature of condensate at the output of vapor condenser which is a part of laboratory evaporator station. As a controlled process the condenser is considerably nonlinear and its control by classical PID controller is not easy. The contribution presents the first experiences with fuzzy controller and possible next course of work.
