This contribution deals with a new trend in the preparation of conductive polymer nanostructures by chemical polymerization using so called soft-template. It is very simple and effective method and therefore it becomes very popular and moreover the conditions of synthesis affect the final geometry and electrical conductivity. The experimental part deals with the synthesis of 1-D structures of polypyrrole in present of azo dyes complexes and compares the effectiveness of this soft-template with reverse micellar systems. Structures of prepared materials were observed by SEM and measured by image analysis method. Prepared 1-D conductive polymers should be used in the preparation of active layers of chemical sensors.
