The main goal of our research was application chemical dynamic sulfite method %22DSM%22 for measuring %22kLa%22- volumetric mass transfer coefficient. The DSM was tested for measurements of low kLa values in a mixing vessel. The main goal was to verify this method for measuring high values of kLa in an ejector. The chemical dynamic method consists in the simultaneous monitoring of dissolved oxygen and sulfite ions concentrations at one place in a vessel as a response to a pulse cased by an injection of sulfite solution (or other oxygen consuming species) to the batch initially saturated with aerating gas. The responses of oxygen and spectrophotometric (or conductivity) probes on a pulse of mixture of sodium sulfite and tracer (NaNO3 or NaCl) solution are monitored. The pulse of sulfite induces sudden decrease in oxygen concentration in a cloud of injected substances.
