The objective of this study was to examine the application of near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) to analyze grain and milling parameters: flour extraction, grain protein content, Zeleny sedimentation, deformation energy. Samples including Czech and international varieties were collected from field experiments (crop years 2002-2005) and laboratory milled on Chopin CD1 mill. Spectra were acquired on a scanning monochromator NIRSystem 6500 in the range from 400 to 2500 nm. Calibration equations were obtained by modified partial least square (PLS) regression analysis of conventional laboratory analytical values of 168 selected NIR spectra using WinISI and MATLAB software. Prediction of Zeleny sedimentation and protein content in particular gave a very good accuracy. The results indicate that the NIR technique can also determine other traits, such as flour extraction and deformation energy, at least with a screening performance. NIRspektroskopie byla aplikována na soubory pšeničných mouk z laboratorního zámelu (CD 1 Chopin) 20 vzorků českých a zahraničních odrůd ozimé pšenice ze šlechtitelského pokusu VÚ RV Praha. Pro predikci jakostních znaků pšenice ze 4 ročníků sklizně byly zvoleny významné technologické znaky (obsah bílkovin zrna, výtěžnost mouky, Zeleny test, alveografická energie). Získaná spektra ve rozsahu vlnových délek 400-2500 nm byla analyzována programem MATLAB, kalibrační a cross validační modely byly zpracovány programem WinISI. Přesnost predikce byla potvrzena na různých úrovních - nejlépe pro obsah bílkovin a Zeleny sedimentační hodnoty.
