Some oxohalides occur in drinking waters in trace concentrations as inorganic disinfection by-products. Chlorates and chlorites can be found when chlorine dioxide is used as a disinfection agent. Bromates are occasionally present in ozonated drinking waters. These oxohalides proved to be harmful substances. Ion chromatographic methods are usually employed for the analysis of these oxohalides. Routine standardized analytical methods rely usually on ion chromatography. In our work, two analytical separation methods (ion chromatography and on-line coupled capillary isotachophoresis - zone electrophoresis) were tested and compared for the analysis of these anions. It was found that both methods are useful for the analysis of inorganic disinfection by-products in water. Linearity was excellent within 0 # 200 #g/l range and a limit of detection was found to be a few #g/l. Our results demonstrate some advantages of on-line coupled capillary isotachophoresis # capillary zone electrophoresis. Některé oxyhalogenidy se vyskytují v pitné vodě ve stopových množstvích jako vedlejší produkty desinfekce pitné vody. Chlorečnany a chloristany se mohou vyskytovat po aplikaci oxidu chloričitého pro desinfekci vody a bromičnany v ozonizované pitné vodě. Tyto oxyhalogenidy jsou zdraví škodlivé látky a jejich obsah je limitován. Jako rutinní analytická metoda pro jejich stanovení se používá téměř výhradně iontová chromatografie. V naší práci jsme porovnávali nově vyvinutou metodu on-line spojení kapilární isotachoforesa-zónová kapilární elektroforesa s iontovou chromatografií. Bylo zjištěno, že obě metody jsou vhodné pro stanovení oxyhalogenidů ve vodě a dávají srovnatelné výsledky. Linearita byla excelentní v rozmezí 0 - 200 ng/ml a detekční limit činil několik ng/ml. Výsledku ukázaly na některé výhody kapilární elektroforesy ve srovnání s IC.
