The paper deals with applications of ultrasonic technique in evaluation and control of crystallisation process in technical sugar solutions. The LiquiSonicLab system (by firm SensoTech Magdeburg, Germany) were chosen for that task. These systems enable to extend the work at the crystallisation station and to make it substantially more efficient, which involves the evaluation of the produced crystals and the acquirement of necessary substance properties and kinetic parameters. The ultrasonic system LiquiSonicLab was applied in the following fields: Metastable zone width measurement, dry solids measurement during concentration and crystallisation, solubility determination.
