Corona discharge is a possible alternative to conventional methods of sterilization. We investigated the inactivation of bacteria Enterococcus faecalis using a pulsed corona discharge in liquid. Reactor with point to plate electrode geometry was used for the generation of the discharge in liquid. The effects of the solution conductivity on the bacterial inactivation have been determined. Better efficiency of inactivation has been observed with the increasing solution conductivity. Furthermore we compared conventional counting colony forming units and computer program ImageJ.
