Ze známých metod odsiřování spalin je mokrá vápencová metoda nejúčinnější. Její účinnost je možno ještě zvýšit použitím organických kyselin jako aditiv. Na VŠCHT-Praha byla provedena laboratorní měření s těmito aditivy a dále v českém kombinátu Vřesová byl proveden provozní test s kyselinou adipovou. A variety of SO2 control processes are in used. The efficiency of wet flue gas desulphurisation process is the biggest. The efficiency of this absorption method might be increased by introducting organic acids additives.
