The actual emission limit of nitrogen oxides arising from large point sources (e.g. power plants and heating plants) is 500 mg/m3 NO2. The limit is supposed to be made more restrictive until July, 2020 and will be reduced to 200 mg/m3 NO2. In case this limit can not be met by primary denitrification (by low-emission burners installation), the incorporation of methods of primary denitrification and selective non-catalytic reduction of NOx, which is economically acceptable, could be considered.
