Photocatalytic degradation of pesticide monuron was studied in the presence of goethite and oxalic acid as ligand at 365 nm. The influence of different parameters was investigated, e.g. pH, concentrations of monuron and oxalic acid. This photodegradation process emerged as very efficient, since almost complete degradation of monuron was achieved in 2 hours of irradiation.
