For the cleaning ability of paints induced by sun light the presence of photoactive TiO2 is essential. This work thus deals with the determination of photocatalytic activity of several commercial TiO2 powders in suspension and immobilized form. The aim is to find the relation between their material properties (composition, surface area, particle size and crystalline structure) and photocatalytic activity.
