Yellowing of the Norway spruce and foliage lost is a common problem in many regions of the Czech Republic. It can be connected also with forest decline. This unfavorable phenomenon is initated with several ecological as well as anthropogenic processes; one of the most important is the imbalance in the forest stand nutrition. Particular reasons lead to the nutrition deficiency, especially of the magnesium. Solution of this undesirable trend is the profound ecological analysis and cause-oriented treatments. Fertilization with deficient nutrients represents successful treatment in the forest stand management in affected areas. Possibilities of the correction of this unfavourable phenomenon by application of the SILVAMIX fertilizer were tested on selected localities in the Forest District Horní Blatná in the Krušné hory Mts.
