Various properties of the generalized trigonometric functions are established. In particular, it is shown that those functions can approximate functions from every Lebesgue space provided that the parameters of the trigonometric functions satisfy a certain condition (in fact we prove that these functions form a basis in any Lebesgue space L^r with r between 1 and infinity). An addition formula for these functions is established in a very special case. Various properties of the generalized trigonometric functions are established.
