The main aim of this research was to evaluate two possibilities of creating forage yield maps under real field conditions. The measurement method was based on the mowing machine conditioner's power requirement measured by a torque-meter or on material change in momentum measured by a curved impact plate. A field with 0.54 ha acreage was harvested during our measurement. The measurement organization allowed comparison of the data from the torque-meter and impact plate with the data from hand measurement by means of statistical and geo-statistical analysis. The results showed that conditioner power input measurement as well as material change in momentum measurement can be used for grass yield map creation.
