Cambisols, Luvisols and Stagnosols are main soil taxonomical units covering 78 per cent of the total area of Czech Republic. Soil microbial and nutrient interactions were tested in the period 2001-2006 at 15 localities of arable and grassed soils (4 Cambisols, 6 Luvisols and 5 Stagnosols). The total number of analyzed soil samples reached 150. Soil microbial and nutrient interactions were evaluated through correlations between 15 microbiological, nutrient and other parameters. Microbial biomass carbon (MBC) was tested using chloroform fumigation extraction method (FE) and re-hydration technique (RHD). Strong correlation (r = 0.6962; n = 150) was found between FE and RHD, that for Cambisols was very strong (r = 0.8104; n = 40), for Stagnosols (r = 0.6583; n = 50) and (r = 0.5616; n = 60) for Luvisols respective. The strongest interaction among MBC (RHD) and nutrients was found for nitrogen (CNS analyzer) in Cambisols (r = 0.9058) and for MBC (FE) (r = 0.6840) respective.
