dcterms:description
Altogether 11 species (i.e. 61 % of the Czech fauna) have been registered in Podyjí NP. Six (54.5 %) of these species are widespread, Western Palaearctic to Holarctic (though some due to recent introduction in the Nearctic), followed by three species (27.2 %) considered Temperate and North European. The two remaining species have more restricted distribution, Temperate European (A. neglecta) and Central European (A. major). The two latter species are included in the recent Red list (ROHÁČEK 2005) and treated as endangered (A. major) and vulnerable (Anthomyza neglecta), respectively. Interestingly, the most frequent species in Podyji NP proved to be S. sabulosum (found in 9 samples), not the more eurytopic A. gracilis (7 samples) or P. nitida (7 samples). This may be caused by the fact that emergence traps and pan traps well collect the terricolous species (like S. sabulosum) but not species living in tall grasses higher above ground (e.g. A. gracilis). The locality Široká pole had the highe Altogether 11 species (i.e. 61 % of the Czech fauna) have been registered in Podyjí NP.
