dcterms:description
Altogether nine species have been found in the study area (= 20.9 % of the total Czech fauna). Most of the species found are broadly distributed within the Holarctic Region or even a broader range (6 species, 66.7 %), with three species classified as European. All species found (with the exception of C. morsitans) are common to very common elements of our fauna. Aedes vexans and A. sticticus cause mosquito calamities in the valleys of rivers after floods and both have great medical importance.
