Using image analysis, chlorophyll autofluorescence was measured in single cells of green alga Monoraphidium dybowskii and in filaments of cyanobacteria (Pseudanabaena sp. and Limnothrix sp.) in the vertical profile of small acidified mountain lake Plešné jezero from May to November of 2003. During the stratification period, hypolimnetic Monoraphidium cell chlorophyll content was on average twice as high (maximum difference 2.7-fold) compared to surface values (of 3.2–12.9 fg/um3), while in filamentous cyanobacteria (surface cell chlorophyll content of 2.2–13.3 fg/um3), the difference was much higher - six-fold on average, with an 11.6-fold maximum value. Monotonous vertical profiles of cell chlorophyll content were typical for the period of water column overturn. Od května do listopadu 2003 byla pomocí analýzy obrazu měřena v Plešném jezeře autofluorescence chlorofylu u jednotlivých buněk zelené řasy Monoraphicium dybowskii a u vláknitých sinic (Pseudanabaena sp. a Limnothrix sp.). V období stratifikace byl buněčný obsah chlorofylu u Monoraphidia v hypolimniu 2x vyšší (maximálně 2,7-násobný) než u hladiny (kde kolísal mezi 3,2–12,9 fg/um), zatímco u vláknitých sinic (chlorofyl na hladině 2,2–13,3 fg/um3) byl tento rozdíl podstatně vyšší - v průměru šestinásobný, maximálně 11,6-násobný. V období míchání se obsah chlorofylu ve vodním sloupci nelišil.
