U kapra obecného, plemene HSM, v podmínkách chovu v České republiky byla vě veku jednoho roku (po první vegetační sezóně a po zimování) a ve věku dvou let (po druhé vegetační sezóně) odhadována heritabilita růstových vlastností (u hmotnosti a délky těla). K dispozici byl čtyř generační rodokmen z tří faktoriálních schématů křížení stanovený určením původu potomstva s využitím mikrosatelitních márkerů. Rodokmen zahrnoval 195 ryb bez údajů o fenotypu (48 jedinců z G0 a 171 jedinců z G1) a 1321 ryb se známými fenotypy (674 z G2 a 647 z G3). Hodnoty heritability stanovené dle ?animal model? se pohybovaly napříč generacemi v rozmezí 0,21-0,33 pro délku těla a 0,31-0,44 pro hmotnost. Genetická korelace mezi délkou těla a hmotností byla vysoká (0,97). Korelace mezi měřeními růstových vlastností po první a druhé vegetační sezóně byly střední až nízké (0,34-0,67). Selekce dle délky těla byla provedena u samců populace G2 a odezva na selekci byla odhadnuta srovnáním růstových vlastností jejich potomstva (popula We estimated the heritability of growth-related traits (weight and length at ages one summer, first spring and two summers) in a synthetic mirror carp strain (HSM) in the Czech Republic.
