History of thermal methods including DTA is outlined pro study thermal behavior of materials. DTA equation and its testing by rectangular heat pulses are revealed. Distribution of temperature fields inside the cylindrical sample is investigated and further applied for inherent processes of the first order. Continuous and discontinuous models are presented.
