The aim of this study is to compare different methods of pelvic ring fracture fixation using finite element model of the pelvis with an unstable transforaminal sacral fracture (61-C1.3 according to AO classification, type II in Pohlemann classification). Two methods of pelvic ring fractures fixation are compared - the first one uses iliosacral screws and the second one a transiliac internal fixator. Their influence on the stress distribution in the tissue and the displacements occurring in the fracture under load is discussed.
