At the turn of the 30s and 40s of the 20th century Japan found itself in a complicated situation. Its aggression in China destroyed its relations with the Western Great Powers - especially United States. After the U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt issued an embargo on Japan in mid 1941 Japan had only two options: to back away or to start a war against this country.
