A new bistable electromagnetic actuator is designed and modelled. The actuator with a magnetically moved plunger represents the main part of a valve intended for control of flow of electrically non-conductive liquids. Presented is the basic concept of the valve together with its mathematical model that is solved numerically by the code Agros2D developed by the authors.
