The purpose of this research is the calculation of efficiency of redesigned synchronous motor 50kW. Iron-core losses are here generally divided into two main components. The first one is supposed to be dissipated in both the stator and the rotor lamination, the second one in their surfaces. The last component of power loss computed here is losses due to mechanical friction (mechanical and ventilation losses).
