The magnetohydrodynamic pumps with their simple design and resistive construction are suitable for industrial applications handling highly corrosive and aggressive materials. For an experimental prototype, the influence of dimensions of electrodes on the driving force of the pump was investigated. The dimensions that provided the highest driving force have been suggested for use in the prototype.
