dcterms:description
Content of free fatty acids (FFAs) of milk fat is indicator of dairy cow energy metabolism, milking hygiene and milk treatment quality. FFAs are important for quality and shelf life of milk products. MIR-FT (infraanalyse) as an efficient method for FFAs determination enables routine control. After calibration according to set of reference samples (RSs) the MIR-FT was good screening. RSs modification by mechanical stress increased FFAs (P < 0.001) in necessary way. It was adjusted on + 105% cca. Correlations between MIR-FT and reference method were from 0.826 to 0.995 (P < 0.001). RSs transport increased FFA results (P < 0.05) by 0.147 + 0.164 mmol.100g-1 but insignificantly in practice. The central calibration system of MIR-FT for FFAs is possible. Results are useable for MIR-FT validation in milk laboratories. Dairy herd with suspicion on energy malnutrition showed high FFAs (3.44 + 0.49 versus 0.82 + 0.27; P < 0.001). In: Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica, 2009, 12, Spec. Issue. ISSN 1335-258X.
